One would expect the sparks to fly again, but the mahaul was quite thanda when Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai came to the same studio to shoot their respective films. Salman was shooting director Anil Sharma’s film Veer while Ash was shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish at Mehboob studios on Sunday.
Salman’s shoot was initially supposed to be held in Pune, but due to the swine flu scare, the unit canceled the outdoor schedule and preferred to shoot in the safe confines of Mehboob studios. However, none had anticipated that Ash would also be shooting for Bhansali’s film there on the same day.
So, with Ash and Salman shooting on the same premises, one expected something to happen - an accidental bumping-into-each-other, or something of the sort. Alas! It didn’t.
Salman was cool as a cucumber and rested outside his vanity van in between his shots for ‘Veer’, while Ash remained busy with Bhansali’s film.
Must say Salman has always maintained a decorous distance from Ash ever since she married Abhishek Bachchan. Even at IIFA, where Ash has been a regular, Salman used to take extra care to make sure that his path did not cross Ash’s. This year, he gave the event a miss altogether.
The chivalrous Khan sure knows the virtue of decency.
