Earlier we got news that Priyanka Chopra has nearly 8 to 10 houses within Mumbai, as told by the income tax officials.
The Income Tax raid at Priyanka Chopra's premises has revealed that she has unaccounted assets worth Rs 7.5 crore, reports a senior official. "Primarily from what we have scrutinized, we have found that assets worth Rs six crore were not accounted for," the Income Tax official said.
However, the official did not divulge details of the unaccounted assets. "The unaccounted assets are in various forms and we are still scrutinising it," he added. Director General of Income Tax (investigations) B P Gaur confirmed the development. Tax officials had on Monday conducted raids at the places of actors Priyanka and Katrina Kaif, fashion photographer Atul Kasbekar, besides talent management companies Matrix and Bling.
The department had also conducted raids at the premises of Priyanka's secretary Chand Mishra. The income tax raids were conducted on Priyanka Chopra over two days. It is said that at international star Kabir Bedi’s home the only thing the IT found was a lot of wood. At music composer Bappi Lahiri’s bungalow they found nothing.
At the legendary singer Kishore Kumar’s Juhu bungalow the IT officials are said to have found currency in the mattress, while a top 70's actor-turned politician’s South Mumbai home, there was currency stashed away in the false ceiling.
Recently actor producer Arbaaz Khan’s office was raided post the super-success of Dabangg. And the officers apparently wondered why there was a lot less income on paper than all that was quoted in media reports. The reply to that, according to an insider is that Arbaaz reportedly has to yet receive some of the profits from the film corporation that bankrolled Dabangg.
